Once, back before my SAHM days, my boss had me go to Max and Erma's to save a table for her and some boards members because she was afraid there would be a lunch rush and they would have to wait for a table. The board members arrived before she did, and I had to say - nope! I'm not here for lunch... just saving a table for you. You know the green stuff in lobsters that nobody eats? Well my husband eats it. Not only did he eat his and mine! But announced to the whole group he would like everyone else's. It was disgusting and I was embarrassed. This was the first time he met most everyone. I ordered a well done hamburger which came out practically mooing. The waiter did not replace it so I just ate the fries. And then he reprimanded me for using a coupon that I had got from their restaurant to the point where he made me cry and I hid in the bathroom for the next half hour. He never apologized and then he proceeded to tell me I did'nt have much money left on my gist card so I needed to be sure and leave him a cash tip!chelseanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580964360955407360.post-88809532156700047882010-07-18T21:47:45.222-04:002010-07-18T21:47:45.222-04:00I was in iraq while in the army and i had a cinnom...I was in iraq while in the army and i had a cinnoman roll and pepsi for my christmas dinnermatthew peternelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580964360955407360.post-76111865816544380662010-07-16T23:12:08.602-04:002010-07-16T23:12:08.602-04:00The worse dinner for work? I am also a SAHM so I don't have a "work dinner" story other than one about my most important clients;) I am a mother to 4 so going out to eat can get pretty expensive. We would always go to a local mexican restaurant that had a "taco night". Well this particular night we were just getting done eating when my son started complaining that his body ached. I just thought he was whining...sure enough seconds later her start projectile vomiting EVERYWHERE!!! I felt horrible. All the tables surrounding us were full and I just could not imagine trying to eat while watching a little boy vomit Exorcist style! It was so embarassing. I'm so glad he is a bit older now so he knows what a achy belly means! The Scott Ganghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787801070618370133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580964360955407360.post-83715478058699861612010-07-16T07:22:53.613-04:002010-07-16T07:22:53.613-04:00As a SAHM, work dinners are family dinners. My oldest is always willing to taste new food and is usually a really good eater, but at about age 3, he learned how he could make himself sick (wonderful talent) when he didn't like something or didn't want to eat anymore. So, he proceeded to throw up all over himself and the chair right at the table. I ended up having to take everything outside and hose it off. Gross!!Melissa (melisnjoh@hotmail.com)noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580964360955407360.post-79666098264472867382010-07-16T07:03:06.740-04:002010-07-16T07:03:06.740-04:00I don't if my "worst work dinner" st...I don't if my "worst work dinner" story will qualify but here goes. I have been a server at Don Pablos for almost 4 years. Well back when I was still new at it I was carrying a tray of drinks to a table and I didn't have it balanced right and one of the drinks fell off (I think it was a coke) and landed on a lady as well as getting into her purse! To say that I was mortified would be an understatement! I felt so horrible and profusely apologized over and over again! Thankfully all of the people at that table were super nice and kept reassuring me that it was fine (they even tipped me really well too which was an unexpected bonus!!). As I turned to leave, the table next to the one where I had spilled the drink called me over and said, "We've always wanted to see a drink spilled on somebody at a restaurant so thank you!!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580964360955407360.post-83602559394876359292010-07-16T00:34:50.121-04:002010-07-16T00:34:50.121-04:00This sounds like fun! I've been a SAHM for 8 years and my work consist of making jewelry, reading blogs, cutting coupons, and shopping. I'll take that over a bad work dinner anytime!Kelly Bhttp://www.etsy.com/shop/TinkerbellsTreasuresnoreply@blogger.com
